My Fall Travel through Germany

Trier Porta Nigra

As some of you know, I am traveling for the next six weeks through Germany. I just came back from the the South-West area, the oldest town Trier from the Roman times. Above you see the Porta Nigra from 200 a.D. which means Black Gate.

I have intermittent internet in the Westerwald mountains, just to inform you if you don’t see your weekly blog. Next week I drive South of Stuttgart near Freiburg, maybe a side trip into France. The following weeks, 3 days Würzburg, Regensburg, Passau. Landshut, Mittenwald in the Alps, and then staying with a friend in Zürich.

Here are some impressions I had while in Bernkastel-Kues and Trier this week. Stay tuned, there is more to come.

I have been living half of my life in Germany, then US, and traveling since then. My passion is cooking, painting and glass mosaic art. I try to re-create recipes I grew up with or tasted while traveling in Europe.
